Message from Rev. Karen Paschal
Welcome to New Dawn Center for Spiritual Living, an affiliate of the United Centers of Spiritual Living. We teach the philosophy of Science of Mind and Spirit, a New Thought philosophy.
Simply described, this philosophy teaches that we are part of the creative process of life. Our beliefs and attitudes create our experiences. We can choose to consciously create a better life for ourselves. The only thing against us in this life is ourselves. We awaken to the possibilities of life when we realize that there is nothing against us and everything is for us.
Please visit us and learn about how you, too, can have a great life! This is the message of Science of Mind and Spirit!
Love and Abundant Blessings,
Rev. Karen Paschal

Adventure in Faith - Weaving My Personal Thread
Cheryl loves making music at New Dawn!! Each Sunday her intention is to meet the congregation "inside" of the music - where the Oneness lives. After graduating in music from CU Boulder, she has performed in many churches throughout the country, performed in leading roles in music theater, served as Choral Director for small ensembles and large choirs of children and adults. A highlight was singing in the Vatican during Holy Week. Her CD, "Open to Grace," combines inspirational music and messages. Cheryl firmly believes that the New Dawn music is the best around and uplifts the congregation each week in heart-centered service.
Freddy has been performing professionally since the age of 9. After arriving in Denver in 1973, he has performed with his father, Freddy Sr., at the world-famous El Chapultepec Jazz Club in LoDo since the '80s. He has played with many local groups, including Latin Crossover and his own band, "Chilli Willi," as well as one of Denver's top party bands, "Jakarta," and is currently Mary Louise Lee's (wife of Mayor Michael Hancock) main accompanist. Freddy is a proud soloist at New Dawn Church. He is an accomplished singer-songwriter, playing piano, synthesizer and sax. He has produced several CDs and is a well-known in the Denver music scene. Of course, his main inspiration to play music is his parents, Josephine and Freddy Sr.
I cannot remember a time when music was not part of my life. I started playing bongos at the age of 6 when my brother, who played the violin, placed a pair of bongos in my lap and said, "play this," and showed me the rhythm I was to play while he played his version of Wes Montgomery's "Bumpin' on Sunset." Because I adored my older brother, I wanted to do what he did, so I started playing the violin at age 10. From there, I went to clarinet, then drums. I have been playing percussion ever since. For me, it's all about the music. We live in a wonder-filled Universe. Uni=one; verse=song. We live in and from the song of life. When everyone is in accord, we live a harmonious life. When we are in tune, we easily find ourselves living, moving, singing and dancing to the rhythm of life. What's cool about that is we each have our own rhythm, and each rhythm blends and flows well with the other pitches, harmonies and rhythms, as long as we let go to the flow of the universe; The one song. This One Song is Love.
